Quzhou (Ecns) – Lawyers and experts have been hired to form an advisory group, and an overall claims program related to the Asiana Airlines crash is being made, according to a press conference held by the Jiangshan municipal government of Zhejiang porvince on Sunday.
Lawyers have also been invited to Jiangshan to provide face-to-face legal advice for families affected by the accident, said Jiang Dafu, an official from the local government.
The advisory group will hold law seminars to find the best solutions to safeguard the legal rights of the families, said Jiang.
The working group, which is dealing with the accident in the United States, will strengthen communication with the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco and Asiana Airlines, he added.
Mao Zhuoxing, director of the Jiangshan education bureau, said that psychological counseling is being offered to accident-affected students, and that teachers and Asiana Airlines staff will arrive in Jiangshan on Tuesday.
An Asiana Airlines flight crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport on July 7. A total of 70 Chinese teachers and students were on the flight, 34 of them from Jiangshan of Zhejiang Province. Thirty-one survivors of the plane crash returned to their hometown on Sunday.
