(ECNS) -- A total of 52 mobile operators' base stations have stopped operations in Gansu after an earthquake in the province on Monday morning.
China's three major mobile operators have launched urgent repairs on the suspended base stations.
The earthquake occurred at 7:45 am at the juncture of Minxian county and Zhangxian county in Gansu province.
Fifteen China Mobile base stations stopped operations due to a blackout after the quake. China Mobile launched an emergency repair plan, and a team has been dispatched to the region with communications equipment.
The quake also led to the suspension of services at 34 China Unicom base stations, and three China Telecom base stations.
China Unicom has ordered its Gansu branch to monitor the local communication network in order to restore service as soon as possible.
