(ECNS) -- Two cloned rabbits that glow in the dark were bred by researchers from universities in Istanbul and Hawaii, according to Taiwan's media on Thursday.
The researchers said they had injected the glowing jellyfish gene into eight rabbit embryos, and inserted the altered embryos into the mother rabbit.s womb.
After the litter of eight rabbits were born, two of them glow green in the dark, but look no different from their siblings in daylight.
The researchers said the study can help improve treatments for genetic diseases.
