(ECNS) -- A naked boy who ran wild in a museum in Hangzhou and charged his mother at least 350 yuan (about 57 US dollars) to end his bad behavior on Tuesday made headlines.
The naked boy, 7 or 8 years old, seemed to be clean and healthy, but he was running around the square outside the Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum, attracting many people's attention, Hangzhou-based Qianjiang Evening News said.
He then ran into the museum, followed by a woman assumed to be his mother and two men, who are said to be friends of his father, a guard at the museum said.
Another museum staffer said the spoiled boy was yelling and hitting the ad stands inside, making a mess.
Wang Hong, manager of the firm in charge of security and sanitation at the museum, said the boy refused to wear clothes, despite his mother's urging. "We had to persuade them to leave, in consideration of other visitors," Wang said.
Refusing to leave and yelling, the boy scratched the guards' arms as they tried carrying him out. Policemen from the 110 emergency service hotline were also called in.
Then the boy demanded 50 yuan for putting on shoes, 100 yuan for a piece of clothing and 200 yuan for playing elsewhere. His mother agreed, and the group left.
Tao Xiaoying, head of a local kindergarten and an expert on children's education, said the boy's behavior is the result of emotional management failure, usually due to being spoiled by parents.
