(ECNS) -- Members and coaches of China's men's volleyball team received a patriotic education on the history of China's anti-Japanese war (1937-1945) as the team tried to put the spirit of anti-Japanese heroes into their matches, according to the State General Administration of Sports on Wednesday.
By teaching the history of China's anti-Japanese war and the heroic deeds of patriots in the war, lecturers tried to make members of the team understand the hardships Chinese had to overcome to win the war.
The spirit of anti-Japanese heroes can inspire Chinese volleyball players to overcome difficulties in their training and games, one coach said.
