Beijing (CNS) -- The Palace Museum in Beijing is expected to introduce more guards to strengthen security and maintain order in the museum during the upcoming National Day Holiday, according to an official at the museum on Thursday.
The announcement comes after a video of a brawl involving seven Chinese tourists in the museum aroused debate online.
Besides security personnel, 300 volunteers will be on hand to carry out visitor reception tasks during the holiday, the official said.
At present, there are 273 security guards responsible for maintaining the order at the museum.
