(ECNS) -- Eleven people were injured during a clash among employees at a Foxconn plant in East China's Shandong province last week, according to its trade union.
The trade union of Foxconn, a Taiwan-based contract manufacturer, confirmed on its official Sina Weibo account on Monday that two groups of employees in Yantai city clashed after drinking on the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, with 300 to 400 employees watching.
Those with minor injuries were sent to the local hospital and no one was seriously injured, according to the trade union.
Another altercation between the two groups on Saturday morning was stopped by local police, it added, saying leaders were punished and all employees involved reprimanded.
Hong Kong-based Apple Daily said the mass brawl erupted between employees from Guizhou province and Shandong province last Thursday, and the fighting resumed on Saturday.
