(ECNS) -- Hurun Research Institute released the 2013 Hurun IT Rich List on Monday, ranking Ma Huateng, CEO of Tencent Inc., as the richest IT man in China, with 56 billion yuan ($9.15 billion), according to newssc.org.
Robin Li, the founder of Baidu, followed Ma, with 46 billion yuan ($7.5 billion) in second place, and the Jiang Bin family, shareholder of Goer Tek, in third place.
Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, saw the biggest increase in personal fortune, up 502 percent.
The list showed that the average wealth of the top 50 people was 10.7 billion yuan ($1.5 billion), 51 percent higher than last year.
The IT Rich Lists over 10 years have witnessed the development of China's information and technology industry, said Rupert Hoogewerf, chairman and chief researcher of the Hurun report.
Hoogewerf also predicted the IT industry will contribute a new richest man in China in five years.
