People all over the world can submit a name in the following month starting Wednesday via xinhuanet.com or qq.com. The top three will be selected after a week's online voting and judging. The final result will be announced in early November.
During the launching ceremony held at Diaoyutai State House, a staffer in charge of China's moon-probe project said Chang'e-3 is expected to soft-land on the moon in December.
