A photo taken by Zhu Qian shows that the middle-age woman eats grapes on subaway.
(ECNS) -- A pregnant woman on the Hangzhou Subway was chased and attacked on Tuesday by a hungry passenger, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
Zhu Qian, who has been pregnant for two months, told reporters that a middle-aged woman next to her on the train was eating cookies during morning rush-hour. Zhu said she "told her politely not to eat on the subway."
But the passenger continued eating cookies, and then grapes.
Zhu said she took out her mobile phone before getting off the train to snap a picture of the eater.
The woman, realizing she was being photographed, exploded with anger. She rushed at Zhu, tried to grab the phone and beat her before Zhu escaped. Many passengers witnessed the attack.
In a separate incident earlier this year, a female passenger on the Wuhan subway took a bowl of "hot and dry" noodles to the head after she filmed a woman eating them.
Shanghai plans to ban eating and drinking in its subway carriages, a move that would bring it more closely in line with other international cities.
