(ECNS) -- Fortune Magazine on Thursday released its 2013 list of most admired Chinese companies, with China's largest e-commerce group Alibaba grabbing first place, according to the Beijing Times.
Baidu Inc, which ranked first last year, came in second, and Chinese electric appliance giant Haier Group took third.
This year's list has 11 newcomers: Xiaomi Technology, SAIC Motor Corp, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, Industrial and Commercial Bank, China Minsheng Banking Corp., Founder Group, Foson International, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Gome, Bright Food Group, and China Merchants Group.
Three-year-old Xiaomi has become the youngest member on the list. The overall valuation of Xiaomi has reached billions of dollars, according to Fortune.
The list surveyed 300 candidate companies for nine qualifications, including status of products and services, long-term investment value, capability for innovation, and ability to attract to talent.
