(ECNS) -- As people in Taiwan usually throw shoes to vent their anger during protests, used shoes are becoming hit items in local flea markets, according to a China Times report.
Thanks to such practices during protests, old shoe sellers in Taiwan can make a bundle whenever there are large protests, according to one manager at a local flea market.
A seller at the secondhand market said he once met a buyer who acquired 200 pairs of old shoes. The buyer said all the shoes would be used for throwing during protests.
