(ECNS) -- A glass-paved plank road in Central China's Zhangjiajie, called Oriental Skywalk, following the name of well-known Grand Canyon Skywalk in the United States, is attracting many visitors.
The 1,430-meter high and 60-meter long skywalk is located on the west side of Mount Tianmen, Hunan province. Tourists need great courage to set foot on the glass at such a high altitude amid mountains.
Besides the thrill, tourists can view the cliffs through the crystal-clear glass underneath and can feel like walking in the clouds on foggy days.
The skywalk is a new attraction in the tourist spot, in addition to the plank road alongside cliffs, the stretched glass gazebo and the wooden suspension bridge.
In order to get the best visibility from the skywalk, tourists are asked to wear shoe covers when they are there.
