(ECNS) -- Beijing will employ "electronic exam proctor dogs" at test centers during the national higher education exams for home-study adults, according to Beijing Youth Daily on Tuesday.
The proctor dog, equipped with an identity recognition machine, can check the identity of test takers and help prevent cheaters who try to hire other people to take the test for them.
By scanning ID cards, the proctor dog can verify the authenticity of the card.
The dog is also equipped with a metal detector, which can help test monitors check out electronic cheating tools such as wireless headsets.
The exams will be held on Oct. 26 and 27 in Beijing. A total of 125 testing centers will be used for this round of exams.
