(ECNS) -- A petition on the White House website sparked by TV show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in which a child suggested "killing everyone in China" to avoid America repaying its foreign debt has received more than 100,000 signatures, usqiaobao.com reported.
The petition created on Oct. 19 calls for the US government to "immediately cut" Kimmel's show and ask ABC to issue a formal apology and has gotten 100,882 signatures by Thursday, 12 days ahead of the deadline. We the People, a section of the whitehouse.gov website, promises to address an issue if 100,000 people sign a petition within 30 days.

Besides the petition, Chinese Americans also staged protests against ABC in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.

Following a protest planned outside ABC's headquarters on Friday, Chinese Americans will hold a large protest in nearly 20 US cities, the report said, and thanks to social media, more cities are joining in, and the total number of protesters may exceed 10,000.
