(ECNS) -- A company in Shenzhen has displayed 10 luxury cars that will be given to its employees as year-end bonuses, much to the envy of other workers in the high-tech zone, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported.
Ten Mercedes-Benz cars and two signs reading "Year-end bonus of 2013" were spotted in the city's Nanshan High-tech Zone.
Many passers-by have stopped and taken photos, eager to find out if the company is recruiting.
Reporters learned that the cars were bought by a company that specializes in control systems for unmanned helicopters.
An employee at the company said ten cars each worth 160,000 yuan ($26,000) were awarded to employees during a poll last year, and that another ten cars were awarded in the middle of this year.
Ownership of the cars can't be transferred to employees until they work there for five more years, the employee said.
