(ECNS) -- China strongly condemns Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to the Yasukuni war shrine on Thursday, saying the Japanese leader has brutally trampled on the feelings of the Chinese people and those of other victimized Asian countries.
"We strongly protest and seriously condemn the Japanese leader's acts," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang.
"We hope Japan will acknowledge its military invasion in the past and sincerely engage in self-reflection, and take tangible actions to convince its neighbors it will not try to repeat history in the future," said Qin.
