(ECNS) -- Some Chinese travelers will be able to experience a trip to space in 2014, according to the Beijing Evening News on Monday.
Dexo Travel, a Chinese travel agency with high-end clients, has signed an agreement with Netherlands-based Space Expedition Corp., which plans to send 100 tourists into space next year.
The one-hour trip will be carried out in a Lynx Mark spacecraft produced by an American aerospace company and cost $95,000.
Although the spacecraft will only reach a height of 60 kilometers, the tourists will experience weightlessness and enjoy the view of outer space.
However, continental Asia and China will barely be visible during the trip, the report said.
Participants will be given one week of physical training at Royal Dutch Airlines or Air France before their space trip, according to the website of Dexo Travel.
The report said six Chinese tourists have applied.
