(ECNS)-- A dead Siberian tiger was found in a white SUV in the downtown area of Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, on Wednesday, 66wz.com reported.
The tiger was found on Jiangbin East Road by a team of special police who were about to start their training.
The special police came across two people carrying something wrapped in a woven bag on the street.
The police, thinking the "thing" could be a dead body, stopped the two people as they tried to put the bag into the trunk of a white Toyota SUV.
A tiger was found inside when the bag was opened. One person was immediately arrested, while the other escaped.
The animal was later revealed by a local expert to be a Siberian tiger.
Siberian tiger is a first-grade state protection animal in China.
