(ECNS) -- Taipei 101, a landmark skyscraper in Taiwan, will terminate its message lighting service on Feb 16, according to the China Times on Thursday.
To mark the end of the service, Taipei 101 will offer free messages – in English or Chinese -- for people to publicly express their affections on the skyscraper this Valentine's Day, according to an official from the structure at a press conference on Wednesday.
Registration is open to the public at 8 p.m. on Jan 23. Up to 101 couples will be selected for the rare opportunity to showcase their love.
But registration is not limited to lovebirds. People can express their love for their parents or other family members as well.
The message lighting service was offered by the skyscraper for the first time in 2005.
