(ECNS)-- China Mobile customers still don't know if they will be exempt from Internet service fees while browsing Sina Weibo during Spring Festival, as the company had earlier claimed, China.org.cn reported.
The official Sina Weibo account of China Mobile posted earlier this month that "All China Mobile customers will be exempt from paying network traffic costs when accessing Sina Weibo in the 24 hours of the Spring Festival, thanks to cooperation between China Mobile and Sina Weibo."
The post was later deleted, leaving netizens wondering if the exemption would take place.
A call to China Mobile's hotline 10086 wasn't encouraging. An employee in the service department said they hadn't even heard of such an offer.
As of the day the report was published, China Mobile hadn't given official notification about the exemption.
