(ECNS) -- A nostalgic song heard at this year's Spring Festival Gala, along with old photos in the background, has started a new trend of taking family photos and printing old photos, a website reported.

The song "Where has time gone" and 30 photos of a father and daughter over each of the past 30 years, reminding people of their parents growing old, have struck a chord with viewers nationwide.

The Gansu-based website said that during the Spring Festival holiday, the number of families who went to local photo studios for family photos increased 10 percent from last year. A woman surnamed Tang said taking a big group photo has been a family tradition since the 1980s, but she found they had to wait in a long queue this year.

Another citizen surnamed Wang said he was moved by the old photos and plans to take family photos every year from now on.

Many people are choosing to print photos other than just storing them in computers.

In addition, the number of clients reprinting old photos has doubled, said Yang Huanguang, manager of a well-known photo studio. Some elderly people even asked their children to reprint old photos taken 60 years ago, he added.
