(ECNS)-- Visiting Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt on Tuesday complained about the severe smog shrouding cities in northern China on the official Sina Weibo account of the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing, people.com.cn observed on Tuesday.
The post issued by the minister on Tuesday morning read, "I certainly hope that smog eases in the next few days. Unpleasant and hazardous now. Our countries must work more intensely together on air quality, environmental and global climate issues. Sweden has much to offer. CB"
The post was later translated into Chinese by Web editors at the embassy. The Chinese version of the minister's words was also posted online.
Bildt is on a six-day visit to China, starting last Friday.
