(ECNS)-- A man in Zhejiang province made an Iron Man for himself to impress his 6-year-old son, Southern Metropolis Daily reported on Friday.
Huang Chu, 34, is a doctor with a private clinic in Liushi county, Leqing city of Zhejiang province.
"I have been busy with my work, and I couldn't take time out to be with my child," Huang said.
To improve communication with his son, Huang decided to make something to pique the boy's interest.
"Boys share the dream of becoming a superhero," Huang said, noting that his son loves all of the animation figures who wear armor.
After seeing photos of homemade Iron Man armor posted online, Huang decided to make one himself.
Huang obtained the drawing from a netizen who once made the armor.
He decided to make the armor using plastic. He cut the parts based on the drawing, and pieced them together.
Huang spent all his free time on the project, and an Iron Man armor was produced in one month.
At 1.8 meters, the armor features many Chinese elements. A small Chinese flag is painted on the armor, and tai chi logos are marked on the palms of the Iron Man suit.
Huang put on the suit after it was finished, and took photos with his son.
"Friends of my son were astonished when he showed them the pictures, and some of them even asked to come to our home to see the suit," Huang said.
