(ECNS) -- Two wads of banknotes, 20,000 yuan ($3,253), were found in the backpack of a 4-year-boy who wanted to play cards with friends like grown-ups, a local newspaper said.
Xinxin, of Hunan province, said he wanted to be like the grown-ups at home who pile cash on the table while playing cards. Last week, Xinxin saw his mother put two wads of banknotes in the closet. After his mother went out, he took the money and put it in his backpack.
He was intending to use the cash and play with friends in his kindergarten, but for two days, he had no opportunity to play cards.
On the third day, the teacher asked children to hand in homework, and Xinxin said his was in his backpack. When the teacher opened it, she got a big surprise.
The teacher then called Xinxin's mother, who had turned the closet inside out looking for the missing cash.
