Kunming (ECNS) – A double-decker bus in Nanning, South China's Guangxi province, drove into height-limiting bars under an overpass downtown on Tuesday morning, resulting in its roof coming off and injuring a dozen passengers.
The injured passengers have been sent to the hospital.
The height-limiting bars only allow vehicles of no more than 3.5 meters tall to pass.
A witness said the bus ran at a high speed when it crashed into the bars.
An earlier report said that a few days ago, a concrete mixer truck hit the heavy bars in the same place, and the falling bars flattened the rear of a car and hurt a girl inside.
