(ECNS)-- New road isolation guardrails have been installed along Beijing's Chang'an Avenue, the Beijing Youth Daily observed on Friday.
The guardrails have been reinforced with impact-resistant barriers. Covered with an anti-corrosive and high strength material, the guardrails can bounce back even after being hit by cars.
Compared to normal guardrails, the new ones are produced with fluorine carbon spraying technology, a coating method which has been widely applied in the automobile industry, according to the Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group, which made the guardrails.
Besides their strong anti-shock capability, the guardrails also feature attractive gold-colored designs carved with lotus flower patterns.
The guardrails were installed at night to avoid interfering with traffic
