(ECNS)-- A "Snack set meal" featuring a box of coconut chips and a bag of cream rolls, typical foods in South China's Hainan province, has been selling like hot cakes after China's Premier Li Keqiang bought the set during his visit to the province's Haikou city in April, according to people.cn on Monday.
Premier Li bought the snacks for 19 yuan ($3) at a convenience store in Haikou on April 11, during his inspection tour of the city during the Boao Forum for Asia 2014 (April 8-11).
The snacks have since emerged as bestsellers, and their producer, Wenchang Chunguang Foodstuff Co. Ltd., has started promoting the two items as a set, "The premier's set meal".
