(ENCS)-- Traffic police in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, are getting nasal air filters to help them withstand the city's choking smog, people.cn said on Thursday.
Unlike traditional anti-smog masks, the mini air filter features a sealing design that blocks 99 percent of pollutant particles in the air. A respirator embedded in the filter can help wearers breathe smoothly.
Traffic police officers in the city's Chang'an district and Yuhua district can get the high-tech anti-smog devices thanks to donations from a Beijing-based technology company.
A batch of the high-tech devices worth 100,000 yuan ($16,059) was handed out to police officers at a donation event on Wednesday.
