(ECNS) -- China's first driverless subway train is on display at Rail+Metro China 2014 starting from Tuesday in Shanghai.
The unmanned train rolled out by CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., LTD operates automatically, and can avoid driver mistakes caused by fatigue or sudden illness.
A warning device installed in the train can communicate with passengers on board in case of an emergency.
The driver's cockpit has also been removed from the train, leaving more space for passengers.
The railway company said it had already received overseas orders for the trains.
