(ECNS) -- A pair of Chinese-British twin sisters became chefs for the luncheon that British Prime Minister David Cameron hosted for Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at No. 10 Downing Street on June 17, according to the Chinese-language European Times.[Special coverage]
The sisters are owners of the Manchester-based restaurant Sweet Mandarin, which has won the title of Best Local Chinese Restaurant in the UK with a dish called Mabel's Clay Pot Chicken.
Lisa Tse, one of the chefs, said they prepared Mabel's Clay Pot Chicken, fried rice accompanied by home-made Sriracha sauce and mango pudding for the leaders, according to Southern Metropolis Daily.
Sriracha sauce is a best seller in Britain.
Premier Li even encouraged them to open a restaurant back in China, Lisa Tse said. "I'm honored to cook for the leaders and so glad they loved the dishes and sauces."
Last year, Lisa Tse also joined Cameron's delegation to China and made a 6-million-pound export deal with China. "Thanks to the prime minister for supporting small enterprises like ours and helping with our export business."
Premier Li arrived in Britain on June 16 for a three-day visit.
