(ECNS) -- A Tesla electric vehicle was seriously damaged after colliding with two vehicles in Beijing on Thursday. No one was critically injured.
The accident occurred at around 4pm on Jiuxianqiao Road in Chaoyang District. The Tesla rushed out of the road and ran into a lamp post after hitting a car that was making a U-turn. It then hit another bus on the roadside before stopping.
Reporters arrived at the scene and found the damaged Tesla on the pavement, with the right rear wheel lost and the right front one damaged.
The driver of the Tesla said he had borrowed the vehicle from his company, and that the air bag had protected him and his colleague in the car from harm.
At 8pm, the damaged Tesla was lifted onto a truck and carried away.
Tesla cars are called "rich men's toys," as they cost more than 800,000 yuan ($128,868) in China.
