(ECNS) -- Chinese police on Tuesday handed over a member of Yamaguchi-gumi to Japan, according to the CCTV News weibo account.
Yamaguchi-gumi is Japan's largest criminal organization, and one of the biggest in the world.
Ryuji Hasegawa, 46, was caught by Chinese police in Guangzhou, Guangdong province last August. He has criminal records for robbery, murder, and drug trafficking.
Reports said he had instigated the smuggling of 15,152 MDMA tablets from Shanghai to Japan.
