(ECNS) -- Hong Kong Post and Malaysian authorities joined hands to issue a set of stamps featuring various local flavor themes on Thursday, Ta Kung Pao reported.
It is the post's 13th joint venture with an overseas postal administration.
HK's egg waffle and poon choi, along with Malaysia's Nasi Lemak and satay, were selected to represent each region respectively.
A senior HK Post manager, surnamed Li, said egg waffles and poon choi are representative of local street snacks. Both embody local culinary culture and relate stories of the city's past, he noted.
Adorned with images of bauhinia and hibiscus, floral emblems of Hong Kong and Malaysia, a set of these stamps sell at HK$13.3 ($1.7).
