(ECNS) -- Standards of epidemic prevention for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be raised to Olympic Games levels, Beijing Disease Control Center said on Monday.
The capital will also tighten its prevention efforts concerning Ebola, which has caused nearly 4,000 deaths globally.
Experts say with few APEC attendees from West Africa, the risk of Ebola is low. So far, no related cases have been found in Beijing.
Besides, cases of dengue fever in the city have all been imported, according to findings.
Beijing will host APEC meetings from November 5 to 11 in suburban Huairou district.
