English version of Legend of Zhen Huan popular at Cannes

(ECNS) -- The English version of the TV series and television movie Legend of Zhen Huan has drawn close attention at the Cannes TV Festival that just ended in France, with purchase agreements signed and potential agreements reached with a number of overseas TV stations, the Suzhou Daily reported.

The music video of the TV series' opening song A New Day composed by prominent musician Benjamin Wallfisch was unveiled at the festival, and the ending song, also composed by Wallfisch, was said to be released later.

Adapted from the 76-episode Chinese version, the English version of Legend of Zhen Huan has added Zhen Huan's old-age stories, and is presented in a 13-episode TV series and a six-episode television movie series, with each episode lasting 90 minutes. 

The English version will first be aired On Demand on American cable television networks such as Comcast and Time Warner, which cover 110 million users in North America. The work is also earnestly expected by all mainstream TV stations in Asia, where the Chinese version has made a huge splash.
