(ECNS) -- A Chinese private security company has joined hands with a partner in South Africa to provide protection for Chinese enterprises and individuals in the country.
Huawei Raid, established by China's Shandong Huawei Security and Raid Tactical in South Africa, held the opening ceremony in Johannesburg on Dec 20.
The company, China's first overseas joint venture in security service, said it will provide protection for Chinese personnel and their property.
Chinese enterprises including China Minmetals Corporation and Shandong Xinguang Co., Ltd. have signed agreements for services from Huawei Raid.
Huawei Security Group Chairman and President Xun Jinqing said the new company will try its best to help Chinese who face security challenges in South Africa.
Raid Tactical also said the cooperation with its Chinese partner will help overcome cultural and linguistic barriers.
