(ECNS) -- China is willing to send aircraft and ships to assist in the search for a missing AirAsia plane that had vanished on Sunday on-route from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday. [Special coverage]
When asked about the country's reaction to the tragedy, Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying on Monday said in a statement, "China has already said to Indonesia that it is willing to urgently deploy aircraft and ships to participate in the search and would provide additional aid if needed."
