(ECNS) -- More than 40 cities across China had lifted home buying restrictions by the end of the fourth quarter in 2014, the Ministry of Land and Resources said on Thursday.
These restrictions were designed to cool the real estate market during the past.
The ministry added that the real estate sector saw strong signs of recovery following new policies related to housing loans.
Among the cities under monitoring, the average price for land reached 3522 yuan ($569) per square meter, the first time it in creased in 2014.
