(ECNS) - China will establish a public record of Chinese tourists who behave badly in foreign countries, the Beijing Times reported on Friday.
Methods to manage and record bad behavior by tourists will be formulated and carried out in collaboration with airlines, travel agencies and hotels, said Li Jinzao, the head of China's National Tourism Administration.
Once tourists land in a foreign country, they will receive messages reminding them to behave themselves, Li added.
Bad-behaving tourists will be punished according to the law.
China will also encourage tourists to take photos or videos of bad behavior by travelers, which will be made public.
