(ECNS) -- China is planning a new high-speed railway between Moscow and Beijing to provide a fast transport link between the neighboring nations, the Information Office of Beijing Municipality People's Government revealed via its Sina Weibo microblogging site on Thursday.
The railway, which has a total planned investment of 1.5 trillion yuan ($0.25 trillion), will pass through China, Kazakhstan and Russia and cover more than 7,000 km.
High-speed railways passing across the Korean Peninsula in Northeast Asia, linking China and West Asia as well as South Asia, are also on the schedule.
