(ECNS) -- A group exhibition by Canadian artists on the local landscape opened at Today Art Museum on Saturday.

Dubbed "The Transformation of Canadian Landscape Art Inside & Outside of Being", the show provides museum-goers a spiritual tour on the vast North American country's nature and culture via paintings, photographs, videos, installation and performance art.

A total of 16 artists, including Anishinaabe-Canadian Rebecca Belmore and multi-media creator Michael Snow, have joined the exhibition, making it Canada's largest contemporary art show in China during the last 50 years.

Three halls at the museum have been assigned to showcase the country's relationship between natural landscape and human condition.

Canadian perspectives on nature and landscape differs from that in China, said curator Zhou Yan. "The exhibition provides a brand-new interpretation of this landscape."

The exhibition will run till March 8.
