(ECNS) -- New drama series produced by Hong Kong's Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), a wireless commercial television station, will need approval before broadcasting on the Chinese mainland, dzwww.com reported on Wednesday.
Stricter government screening procedures require that Chinese Internet companies submit the entire season of a foreign TV show to authorities for approval before it can be carried on streaming video sites.
TVB's TV productions also fall into this category, meaning that mainland viewers have to wait around one month after a TV show has been broadcast in Hong Kong before being able to view it.
