(ECNS) - Taiwan's defense authorities say the island is fully prepared for possible terror attacks after a photo showing Taipei 101 in flames was posted on an ISIS twitter account.

The picture shows Taipei 101, a landmark building in the capital city, under fire from an attack, accompanied by the threat "When Islamic countries attack your cities it won't look nice."

Taiwan says further investigation of the photo is needed to determine its authenticity and that an emergency liaison mechanism has been triggered, chinatimes.com reports.

ISIS has committed many atrocities worldwide, which have been seriously criticized by the international community.
