(ECNS) -- China has established an anti-terror cooperation mechanism in conjunction with more than 10 countries, Lv Xinhua, spokesman of the third session of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, revealed at a press conference on Tuesday.[Special coverage]
He said China had made it a top priority to strike at East Turkistan Islamic Movement last year and aims at anti-terror cooperation with countries in South Asia, Middle Asia and Southeast Asia.
"Substantial cooperation has been carried out in terms of anti-terror information exchange, investigation of specific cases, and capacity building," Lv commented.
China has also deepened multilateral cooperation with the UN, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Global Counterterrorism Forum to combat terrorism.
