Capital M Literary Festival

In its second weekend, Capital M celebrates all things literary with lectures and discussions by well-respected authors on their work and the world at large. Saturday highlights include a talk by Pakistani writer and 2008 Guardian First Book Award nominee Mohammed Hanif about his latest work Our Lady of Alice Bhatti, and Indian author Siddhartha Deb's in-depth look at the people caught in modern India's transition.

On Sunday, drop in for an afternoon session entitled Writing about China: One Life at a Time, where Evan Osnos, Ian Johnson and others share the profiles of individuals included in the forthcoming anthology Chinese Characters: Fast-Changing Lives in a Fast-Changing Land.

Bike polo

Beijing Adoption Day
