Magic carnival leaves audience spellbound

The Stage magic competition is kicking off behind me to be enchanted.

This magic duo from the Netherlands stunned the audience with not only their magic, but also acrobatics.

Next up was the multi-award winning South Korean magician Ha Won Keun. He blends magic with a casual style in his show "T-Shirt". Just when everybody was wondering how he did it, this small mishap gave us a little clue. Something the master magicians serving as judges definitely won't miss.

Li Ning, one of the judges said, "I know this show is great just by looking at the big names on the lineup. The contestants and the guests have really mingled and learned a lot from each other in the past few days."

Chinese Magician Hu Chunling presented a show with rich ethnic identity, mixing traditional music with the serene Buddhist lotus themes.

The following show was anything but serene. French magician Nestor Hato's electric performance was centred around cards. He is the standing guest performer of France's Channel 1. He's also glad to see old acquaintances here in Beijing.

Nestor Hato, magician, said, "apart from the judges, few know the secrets behind their magic. But everybody knows, that the judges will have a hard time determining a winner."
