Jewellery fair dazzles visitors

A sparkling exhibition has just taken place in Shanghai. The China International Gold, Jewellery & Gem Fair kicked off at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center last Thursday.

Hundreds of companies from Shanghai, Hongkong and Taiwan showcased their finest jewellery. Jewellery is seen by many as a great investment. Due to the high price of gold, gems are the favoured investment purchase. Businesses are all putting their most treasured assets on display, violet gem necklaces can cost 20 million yuan, while the jade bracelets can reach a staggering price of 160 million yuan. The fair ran from November 29th to December 2nd.
