Many are eagerly anticipating the new year celebrations in Taiwan. The fireworks show everyone can't wait to watch is held on one of Taipei's most iconic landmarks, the Taipei 101 skyscraper.
About 22-thousand fireworks, designed and operated by French artists, will be set off to celebrate the coming year. In Taiwan's eastern county of Yunlin, another fireworks show will be launched from an 88-meter-high Ferris wheel. It will be a stunning ten minute visual feast of fireworks shaped like rabbits, jellyfish, butterflies, or even cartoon characters. The town of San Diaojiao in the east of Taiwan will be the first to see in the new year.
