24th photo contest ends entries

In recent years, China has become the fastest growing market for global camera manufacturers.

The deadline for the 24th National Photographers Contest has just passed.

The organiser China Photography Association has received more than 70,000 works from all over the country. Last round, the number was 180,000, and there was even one entry of a thousand photos.

So rules have been set for this year's competition to make sure the jury is not overwhelmed by the entries that the most photos one can send is ten.

The final outcome will be announced in May and the award winning photos will tour the country.
